Innovations 2011 was a hit!

Innovations-2010 event was held on 8th January 2011 at the Dewang Mehta Auditorium at Persistent Systems. This was the fifth year the event was organized. It was attended by ~300 participants from industry and academia. The event started with an inspirational keynote by Mr. Chetan Maini, Founder and CTO of Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles. Later, 14 innovators presented their ideas and answered questions from the audience. The afternoon session had two successful innovators share their experiences with the audience.

Registrations for Innovations 2011 are now open. The event will be held on 8th January 2011 (Saturday) at Dewang Mehta Auditorium at Persistent Systems Ltd, Pune. We have lined up an exciting set of Innovations from various sectors for this event. We are privileged to have a distinguished keynote speaker, Mr. Chetan Maini of Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles to grace the event. We look forward to hear about his Innovation journey, along with those of other invited speakers. Check out the event schedule for the day. IITBAA Pune Chapter ties up with CIIE at IIM-Ahmedabad to promote Innovations

IITBAA Pune Chapter has tied up with the Centre for Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship (CIIE) at the IIMA for the benefit of creative minds and technocrats who qualify for Innovations 2011. This provides a great opportunity for innovators to get mentored by the stalwarts from the field of technology and management. The CIIE will make its expertise in incubating and mentoring available to select innovations from Innovations 2011. These would also be eligible to participate in MentorEdge, the mentoring programme from industry experts at CIIE.

Submissions for Innovations-2011 are open

Submissions for Innovations 2011 are now open. Registration details are avaliable on the website.

Your entry may be a process, product, design, method, application or even a business model or a model of social entrepreneurship. Innovations from all fields are welcome. Entries are sought from individuals, research/academic institutions, NGOs, or corporate entities.

Eligibility criteria for submitting an innovation entry are

  • Innovation must be a truly novel idea
  • Must be based on the application of science / technology
  • The idea should have been introduced in practice

Innovations-2010 event was held on 9th January at the Dewang Mehta Auditorium at Persistent Systems. It was attended by ~250 people from various industries. The event started with an inspirational keynote by Sanjay Nayak, CEO of Tejas Networks. Later, 12 innovators presented their ideas and answered questions from the audience. The afternoon session had three successful innovators share their experiences with the audience.
